A lot of YouTube creators first starting out are running everything from their mobile devices. Whether a tablet or mobile phone, they are shooting, editing and managing their channels from their portable device.

There are plenty of apps out there to help creators do just about everything on their devices – YouTube’s Creator Studio app, apps for editing video, custom camera apps to dial in your shots, apps for producing thumbnails and channel artwork.

Today we’re focussing on the basics – updating your YouTube profile picture and channel art – and you need not go any further than the stock standard YouTube app itself.

The below tutorial video focuses on accomplishing this with an iPad, but the same technique can be applied to an iPhone, iPod Touch or even the app running on Android devices.
