For some time, YouTube have been rolling out new features and updates to 2 areas of focus. One is YouTube Shorts. Shorts creation tools have been constantly rolling out on mobile devices since Shorts was launched in 2021. The other area is the Community Tab.
The Community Tab and by extension the Community Posts have been around longer than Shorts. What started as some simple post styles has evolved over time to provide many interactive elements, the latest being Quizzes.
Quizzes differ from Polls in that whilst Polls are a voting system. Quizzes have a single correct answer. A Quiz can have up to 4 multiple choice answers. The user creating the post can indicate which is the correct answer, which then allows then to optionally add up to 500 characters worth of information that explains why that answer is correct, or gives more details surrounding the question and the correct answer.
In the video below, I show you how to set-up a Quiz via the YouTube app on an Android device. But note, you can now create a quiz on Android, iOS, tablets and desktop (web).
Additionally, I share some feedback regarding the engagement on Quiz posts. Check it out!
