YouTube released two functional updates this week, focusing on expanding mobile creation tools and providing more granular data for shopping creators.
Veo 3 Fast Comes to YouTube Create The YouTube Create app on Android is integrating a custom version of Google’s Veo 3 Fast model. This update brings generative AI capabilities directly to the mobile editor. Users can now generate images and video clips—including sound—simply by entering text prompts. This aims to give mobile-first creators more flexibility in generating b-roll or visual assets without leaving the app.
Seller-Level Shopping Data For creators utilizing YouTube Shopping, visibility into performance metrics has been improved. YouTube Analytics now supports a seller-level breakdown within Advanced Mode. By selecting “Seller,” creators can view specific data points such as total sales, number of orders, and returned products. This addition is intended to help creators optimize their product offerings based on concrete performance data.
